This course is the first step on the coaching pathway
The next UKCC Level 1 Coaching course will take place in September/ October 2016 at Loch Centre, Tranent.
Dates - 16/17/18 September and 7/8 October (times vary each day)
PLEASE NOTE: THIS COURSE IS FULLY ELECTRONIC - ACCESS TO A LAPTOP / TABLET / SMART PHONE IS REQUIRED TO ACCESS AND COMPLETE COURSEWORK.
Prerequisite: Scottish Swimming Member
The Level 1 Certificate for Coaching Swimming sits as the first formally assessed qualification on the coaching qualifications pathway.
To actively support a more senior qualified / licensed swimming coach, at any level, in the delivery of a pre-prepared coached session. This person will be expected to have an understanding of Speed swimming techniques, a basic understanding of appropriate corrections to common faults and be able to deliver a series of effective training sets.
This qualification is endorsed by UKCC and sits on the Scottish Qualifications and Credit Framework (SQCF) UKCC Level 1 for Coaching Swimming

1. Via one of our affiliated clubs – please liaise directly with the club Membership Secretary to authorise / process
