A new disability swimming club set up to support swimmers along the performance pathway
Keen swimmers with physical, sensory or learning disabilities have been encouraged to join a newly-launched club.
East Lothian Disability Swimming Club ensures that swimmers with a disability have the opportunity to meet and train at weekly sessions at Musselburgh Swimming Pool. The only condition of membership is an ability to swim 25 metres unaided in any stroke.
This newly formed club aims to bridge the gap from learn2swim programmes to local clubs and will focus on stroke technique and development to aid progression along the swimmer pathway.
