East Lothian Schools Primary Badminton Winners and Runners up

The Active Schools P5–P7 East Lothian Primary Badminton Singles Championship made a fantastic return on Friday 28th November, bringing together 24 talented pupils from schools across East Lothian. The standard of play was outstanding, with every participant showcasing impressive skill and sportsmanship.

This event was organised by Active Schools in partnership with Badminton Scotland and local East Lothian badminton clubs. A huge thank you to the clubs who provided volunteers to score, and umpire matches throughout the day. Special thanks to Duncan from Dunbar Badminton Club, who generously gifted new grips to all winners and runners-up.

We also want to recognise the support of three Dunbar Grammar School pupils, including Gregor, who helped facilitate matches and keep the day running smoothly.

The tournament format featured four pools, with players progressing into three championship brackets:

A Championship: 1st & 2nd place from each pool

B Championship: 3rd & 4th place

C Championship: 5th & 6th place
