Preston Lodge Girls Rugby team took part in their first ever tournament
Preston Lodge High School sent along their girls rugby team to a tournament which was held at Meadowmill sports centre against the other six schools in East Lothian.
This was the first time the pupils had a chance to play competitive games after attending a few festivals at Murrayfield before Edinburgh matches on a Friday night. The team enjoyed these experiences but were looking forward to playing competitive matches.
The girls played really well with all girls playing equal match time and getting the best experience from the day. They ended up winning the tournament which has seen an increase in girls participation at rugby. These girls have also went along to the East Lothian training on a Monday night in Haddington
