168 children take to the hockey pitch at Ross High School on a damp day to play hockey!
On Wednesday 14 November, five schools from the Tranent cluster and 170 children took part in the P6 hockey festival at Ross High School.
It was a wet morning but the children didn't seem to care as much as the adults! Sandersons Wynd, Windygoul, St Martin's, Macmerry and Saltoun primary schools attended the event. There were thirty teams in total playing four games each in a round robin. Prior to the festival Fiona Harfield, East Lothian Hockey Development Officer and PE Specialists visited the schools and prepared the classes for the hockey games.
Special thanks must go to Edinburgh College students who are studying Sport and Recreation and Sports Activity Leadership. They helped to coach and umpire throughout the morning
