Venturing Out CIC is an inclusive adventurous outdoor activities provider, offering high quality, affordable outdoor experiences to a broad client base. We are a social enterprise and operate with the social objective of ensuring our activities are accessible to people who would find it hardest to access them. We operate throughout East Lothian, offering activities for children, adults and run a specialist provision for children with additional support needs. We are also a licensed Duke of Edinburgh expedition provider.

For Children, we run extensive School Holiday programmes covering every school holiday apart from Christmas. These activities are suitable for children ages 8 to 14 years old and provide opportunities for kids to be active outdoors, whilst building confidence and self esteem. The range of activities on offer are Kayaking and Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Coasteering, Bushcraft / Survival Skills, Search and Rescue, Awesome Games, Trail Cycling.

These activities are delivered based on the age and ability of the group. We have a lot of experience in accommodating varying needs so please don’t worry if you initially think these activities won’t work for your child - get in touch and we will advise accordingly.

Venturing Out also run an ASN Provision for children with additional support needs, and their families. We offer a range of activities which, are delivered by an experienced team of qualified staff and volunteers. These sessions are designed to offer an opportunity for the whole family to get involved and provide an environment whereby the children can take part in fun and adventurous activities in a supportive setting. We also offer children's Birthday parties based around Bushcraft or Raft Building. An adventurous party with a difference!

Our Holiday and ASN Provision are delivered in partnership with ELC Outdoor Learning Service.

For adults, we offer a variety of activities providing fun and exhilarating experiences. Join us to learn new skills and build confidence in the hills on our Navigation Courses or come and explore the East lothian coastline with us in a sea kayak. We cater for individuals and groups and can run one off activity days as part of a birthday party, family gathering or stag and hen do.

We also run Team Building activities for staff teams or businesses who wish to develop relationships, confidence, cohesion and communication skills.
