More children than ever before attend the Bike Club
With the lighter evenings and “better” weather, Bike Club at Haddington Infant School came back from its winter break. For the first time this year primary one pupils were offered the chance to join and many took up the opportunity to improve their cycle skills in the new, beginner and independent groups.
Head coaches Elisa Smith and Susanne Liddle were joined by several new parent volunteers who assisted with registration and teaching. This allowed the club to take larger numbers of independent cyclists which meant we could put a smile on many more little faces! A new step for the club was to take pupils out of the playground onto nearby paths in order to allow them to practice skills in a more real life environment.
A big thank you goes out to all who gave up their time and effort to make Bike Club a resounding success this term. Have a good summer and we’ll see you in August!
