Congratulations to the two teams from MGS who competed in the British Gymnastics School Heats
Two teams from Musselburgh Grammas School competed at the British Gymnastics Schools Qualifiers in Perth on the 31st of January.
The under14 girl’s team: Aimee Givan, Ava Barnaby, Amy Kennedy and Lauren Scott started off the competition on floor showing off their routines. All four gymnasts preformed excellent routines with some great landings before moving onto vault.
The under 19 mixed team: Fraser McLeod, Adam Souter, Stewart McIntosh, Amy Mee and Savannah Mason were up next, starting their competition off on vault. Finally they ended the competition with their floor routines again showing excellent skill level and flawless routines.
The under 14 girls team walked away with a close third place and the under 19 mixed team took first place. Aimee Givan came third in the under14 girl’s category and Adam Souter winning gold individual for the boys. Well done to everyone who took part, it was a great competition day.
The under 19 mixed team have also been selected to represent Scotland at the finals in May.
