North Berwick celebrates its own torch relay
North Berwick nursery, cluster primary schools and the high school are all looking forward to their very own Olympic torch relay event. The North Berwick cluster Torch Relay event starts on World Sport Day, Monday 25th June, and travels around the cluster, visiting the nursery and each primary school along the way.
The nursery and cluster primary schools have received Olympic Torch assemblies and activities to create excitement for the arrival of the North Berwick cluster torch.
North Berwick High School senior pupils who have displayed the Olympic values throughout the year have been selected as torch bearers to run one mile each.
The Craft Design and Technology faculty at North Berwick High School have worked extremely hard to design and create a replica Olympic Torch, that even has a light-up fabric flame!
