2024/25 East Lothian Schools Golf Order of Merit: FINAL RESULTS

Yesterday’s event at The Renaissance was the final counting event in the 2024/25 Junior Golf Order of Merit which was played over 14 events hosted by:  Winterfield, Gifford, Haddington, Musselburgh Old, North Berwick, Gullane, The Glen, Royal Musselburgh, Kilspindie, Longniddry and Renaissance Golf Clubs.   Huge thanks to all of the clubs that hosted us, ensuring we could offer local playing opportunities free of charge, to support junior golf in East Lothian.

Junior Golf East Lothian Order of Merit Scratch Division Winner - Congratulations to Ryan Pirie (Knox Academy/Haddington Golf Club) who is the winner of the Scratch Division.  Ryan beat Cameron Brown (Ross HS/Kilspindie GC) into 2nd and having won 4 events and coming 2nd in 3 is a very worthy winner.

Junior Golf East Lothian Order of Merit Handicap Division Winner - Congratulations also to Calum Robertson (Preston Lodge HS/Royal Musselburgh GC) who is the winner of the Handicap Division beating Alfie Pugh (North Berwick High School/West Links Junior) into a close 2nd.   Calum also came 6th in the Scratch Division as well so has done very well in both divisions.

Lastly congratulations to North Berwick High School who are the winners of this year School Team Division - best 2 net scores combined at each event.

We now bid a very fond farewell to all the 6th years (Ryan Pirie, Ellie Bent, Sami Hyvonen and Rory Burns) who will now be leaving our junior golf programme.  We will be very sad to lose you all and would like to thank you for supporting our local events no matter how good you got! Its greatly appreciated and inspiring for our younger juniors.  We wish you all the very best of luck in next exciting chapter of your lives.

Thanks to all 70+ players that took part in this year’s Order of Merit Events which started back in September 2024 and will start up again in September 2025.  The summer will now seem like a breeze in comparison to the last 9 months!
