The event was part of the Bank of Scotland’s National School Sports Week sponsored by sportscotland.  Shona Robison, the Minister for the Commonwealth Games and Sport, officially opened the event.  By popular demand Boogie and Arlene of Forth FM joined the event in the afternoon to judge the school banner competition, which was won by St. Mary's Primary School, Haddington.

Around 1000 children from across East Lothian attended and had the opportunity to try a variety of sports including:  football, rugby, hockey, basketball, badminton, golf and athletics.  Schools were encouraged to make banners based around the 7 Olympic Values.

The Games were facilitated by Active Schools Coordinators, East Lothian’s Sports Development Officers, Telford College students and volunteers from local high schools and clubs.
