East Lothian Masters finish 6th in team rankings
16 masters swimmers between the ages of 16 and 60 competed in the East District Masters competition last weekend at Mercat Gait, Prestonpans.
After a very successful day, the East Lothian contingent finished with 45 medals and numerous personal best times.
The relay teams were also successful, finishing 5th and 7th in the Medley Relay but claiming a gold and silver in the freestyle teams to add to the total medal tally.
The meet brought everyone together as a team for the first time, where they supported each other and attended the buffet and presentations together afterwards. The team finished 6th in the club standings and as this team is in the early stages of development, it is a fantastic effort from all those involved.
