Kwik Cricket Success for East Lothian

First time out and East Lothian U12's already making a regional impact

East Lothain Cricket

Two East Lothian Kwik Cricket teams recently played in the Edinburgh Junior Indoor League playoffs. East Lothian 1 lost narrowly in the final against Livingstone and East Lothian 2 beat Royal High Corstorphine to secure third place in the group.

Nic Wilson Cricket Development Officer Said

It's such an excellent result, as this is only the first year East Lothian have been represented in the Edinburgh Leagues. Tranent Titans, Bass Rock Cricket Club, Gifford Cricket Club and Gullane Cricket Club were represented in the 28 strong East Lothian u12 squad, that trained and played through the winter.

With Preston Village Cricket Club, Musselburgh Cricket Club and Dunbar Cricket Club also starting up Kwik Cricket sessions in May, there are plenty of opportunities for Primary School aged children to play Kwik Cricket in East Lothian this summer!

If you are interested in getting involved in Cricket or would like to help support the programme as a volunteer or coach, please contact Nic Wilson, East Lothian Cricket Development Officer at  nwilson@eastlothian.gov.uk
