P3 Football Festival - Preston Lodge Cluster
On Wednesday 26th February Primary 3 children from Cockenzie Primary School, Prestonpans Infants School, and St. Gabriel’s Primary School all came together at 3G astroturf pitch at Middleshot Square, Prestonpans to participate in a football festival. The experience was the finale to a number of weeks of football coaching that all of the school children received as part of the Tesco programme ran by the Scottish Football Association (SFA).
Despite the cold and wet weather all of the children involved really enjoyed the fun games and skill sessions ran by the SFA coaches, the event was a definite success and will hopefully give the children an interest and passion for football that will continue throughout their life.
Special thanks goes to all the teachers and parents who helped with transporting the children to the festival and also to the volunteers who helped coach at the event.
