Preston Lodge v Musselburgh
Preston Lodeg High school hosted Musselburgh Grammar in the quarter-fianl of the brewin dolphin bowl. The match was played on the 3G at middleshot which was the first senior match to be played on the 3G.
Both teams started the match well and at a high tempo. Some great tackling from Musselburgh backs line made it difficult for Preston lodge to get the first score despite all the possesion they had. Preston Lodge scored through Jamie Fraser and Cameron Menzies converted the try. After this Preston Lodge scored five more tries before half-time and Musselburgh one uncoverted try to leave the score 38-5 at half-time.
The second half took a similar shape from the first half with Preston Lodge pushing forward. Preston Lodge scored four more tries in the second half to leave the match 65-5 and progress to the semi-final. In the semi-final they will play Lasswade or Knox for a place in the final against North Berwick.
