Wednesday afternoon gymnastics classes at Preston Lodge High School for primary pupils within the Prestonpans cluster
The newly refreshed gymnastics classes on a Wednesday afternoon at Preston Lodge High School have seen a significant growth in numbers since the start of the January term. With only a few pupils booked in classes in January, numbers have grown and after another intake following the Easter break, numbers have doubled and in one class tripled.
The classes are open to any primary pupil within the Prestonpans cluster and no previous experience is necessary. For many of the pupils these classes are their first experience of gymnastics and have been working hard to achieve their basic skills required to progress further. Pupils have been working on improving their jumping, balancing and floor skills using a variety of equipment set ups.
