Ross High Rugby Un 16’s proudly show off their new strips donated by local businessman Mr Ronnie Brown of R. M. Demolitions. Mr Brown has always been a keen supporter of youth sport in the Tranent area was only too happy to support one of his local rugby teams. Graeme Welsh and Michael Walshe the team coaches are very grateful to Mr Brown, whose support replaces strips which have handed down from team to team over the last few years. Mark Urwin (Ross HS Sport & Physical Activity Co-ordinator) commented how support from local businesses is invaluable and even more appreciated in the current economic climate. “The players also notice when someone locally takes an interest in their rugby, it helps them feel part of a wider community”. The Ross High Rugby Un 16’s team are supported by both the Ross High School and Rugby Club, they practice twice a week, Tuesday & Thursdays 5.30pm to 7pm, and play on Saturday mornings. New players are always welcome.
