East Lothian golfers represent at Murrayshall Golf Club, Perth
41 of East Lothian’s secondary school lowest handicap golfers competed in the Qualifying Competition for the Paul Lawrie Scottish School Golf Championship on Friday 27th of April. This year’s qualifier was very kindly hosted by Gullane Golf Club and the weather conditions were very challenging including everthing from sunshine to hail! For some it was a hard lesson learned in terms of being prepared for changes in the weather as waterproofs, hats and mits are definatly still needed in April! 3 players qualified to represent East Lothian:
The boys team were joined by 3 girls from East Lothian: Lesley Atkins, Charlotte Munro and Joanne Free. The players respresent East Lothian on Monday 11th of June at Murrayshall in Perth. The 36 hole one day national competition was a great experience for all players and congratulations to Lesley Atkins who won the individual girls title. For full report click here
