Aberlady Primary School children run a marathon before school
Aberlady Primary School pupils have enjoyed an energetic and motivating start to the day on Wednesdays, at the Junior Jogscotland club. The club run by parent volunteers Gordon Allan, Steve Lissaman, and Stuart Donnelly, starts bright and early at 8am and uses the school grounds to host a variety of activities and runs. Whatever the weather, the sessions have gone ahead and been enjoyed by all.
As a grand finale to this term the club have requested the support from other P3-7 Aberlady pupils to complete a ‘run a marathon before school’ team challenge on Wednesday 27 June. The children ran the 26.2 mile marathon distance as a group, and even had the North Berwick cluster Olympic Torch in attendance on the day.
