Scottish U17 Championships
Shona Whillans (Longniddry) reached the final of the girls’ doubles at the recent U17 Scottish National Junior Badminton Championships held at Meadowbank Sports Centre, Edinburgh. Shona teamed up with her regular doubles partner Gemma Wright from Edinburgh where they were up against top seeds Eleanor O’Donnell (Beith) and Toni Woods (Falkirk). The Glasgow School of Sport pairing were both just too strong and more consistent throughout the final and won the title 21/5 21/13.
